Daniel Sobotta, wanted by Interpol, seized in Turkey

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced on social media that Daniel Sobotta, who was wanted internationally by Germany for the offence of ‘Drug Trafficking’, was captured with the ‘KUYU-39’ operation carried out in Istanbul.

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, in a statement on his social media account, emphasised that criminals wanted with red bulletins were caught one by one thanks to international cooperation and the determination of security forces.

In coordination with the Interpol-Europol Department and the Directorate of Migration Management, Daniel Sobotta was traced as a result of the joint work carried out by the Istanbul Provincial Police Directorate Anti-Narcotic Crimes and Immigrant Smuggling and Border Gates Branch Directorates. It was determined that Sobotta, who was arrested in an operation organised in Şişli, made a large amount of profit by trading drugs through an encrypted communication application.
Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, who made a post on his social media account, said, ‘We congratulate our Heroic Policemen who carried out the operations with our Interpol-Europol Department and our Directorate of Migration Management.’
