Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Basketball Team suffered a defeat with a score of 85-72 against the Russian team Zenit in their second and final preseason match played in Antalya. Four players in the green and white team scored in double digits.
As part of the preparations for the 2023-2024 season, Manisa BBSK faced the Russian representative Zenit St. Petersburg in their second preseason match in Antalya.
The match, held at Gloria Sports Arena, was also attended by Manisa BBSK Club President Bora Çaylan. The first 5 minutes of the game were closely contested, but Zenit extended their lead in the following period, ending the first quarter with a score of 27-14. Despite their efforts in the next three quarters, Manisa’s Tarzans were defeated by a final score of 85-72. The Antalya stage of Tarzans’ preseason preparations has come to an end. The green and white team will play their third preseason match against Pınar Karşıyaka in İzmir on Tuesday, September 5.
Daron Fatts Russell contributed 20 points and 6 assists, Emanuel Terry added 14 points and 8 rebounds, Sinan Sağlam scored 11 points, Dorukhan Engindeniz had 10 points, Ryan Luther scored 8 points, Berke Atar contributed 5 points, and Kaan Sarıaslan added 4 points and 4 assists in the game.
