The President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, is set to visit Sochi on Monday, September 4th, to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. During the meeting, Erdoğan and Putin are expected to discuss both bilateral and regional issues in detail, with the most significant agenda item being the “Grain Corridor” agreement.
According to a statement from the Presidency of Communications, it is anticipated that the two leaders will approach the issue from a more “strategic” perspective in their discussions.
The highly anticipated summit will also address the project of transferring Russian gas to Europe through Turkey.
It is expected that the exchange of prisoners between Russia and Ukraine will also be on the agenda during the talks.
