Troy Cultural Road Festival Continues

The fourth stop of the Turkey Cultural Road Festivals, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey and one of the most comprehensive cultural art projects in the world, continued with full force on the third day of the Troy Cultural Road Festival.

In Çanakkale, the fourth destination of the Turkey Cultural Road Festivals, which are organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to contribute to Turkey’s international brand value, the Troy Cultural Road Festival was held under the coordination of the Çanakkale Battles Gallipoli Historical Area Presidency. The third day of the festival has come to an end.

HANDCRAFTED WORKS OF AHMETÇE WOMEN

As part of the festival, the “Ahmetçe Village Calculation Work Exhibition” organized jointly by KADEM and Ahmetçe Women’s Cooperatives was opened. The exhibition was visited by Prof. Dr. R. Cüneyt Erenoğlu, the Rector of Çanakkale 18 March University (ÇOMÜ), and Prof. Dr. Evren Karayel Gökkaya, the Vice Rector, and met art enthusiasts at the State Fine Arts Gallery. Rector Prof. Dr. Cüneyt Erenoğlu stated, “This exhibition offers an important opportunity to pass on the cultural heritage of Ahmetçe Village to future generations. We also have cooperation meetings to promote Ahmetçe Village Calculation Work. As ÇOMÜ, we are ready to do our best to meet the needs of productive women.”

GALLIPOLI HISTORICAL UNDERWATER PARK PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION

The “Gallipoli Historical Underwater Park Photography Exhibition,” which crowned the underwater studies initiated by the Gallipoli Historical Area Presidency in 2017, welcomed visitors at the Çanakkale Battles Research Center.

EBRU PERFORMANCE AND MAPPING SHOW BY GARIP AY

The Ebru Performance Mapping Show organized by Garip Ay at the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, like in other festivals, received great attention. Garip Ay, known for his innovations in the art of Ebru, boldly carries the centuries-old traditional art of Ebru into the future with a modern perspective. One of Garip Ay’s most significant contributions to the art of Ebru is creating a creative synthesis by combining traditional techniques with an innovative approach.

INSPIRED BY TROYA EXCAVATIONS: WINGED WORDS, TRACES

As part of the Troy Cultural Road Festival, the exhibition “Winged Words, Traces” by the Troya Excavations Art Team at Mahal Sanat attracted significant attention. The exhibition can be visited at Mahal Sanat until September 17th within the scope of the Troy Cultural Road Festival.

FOUR CONCERTS IN FOUR DIFFERENT LOCATIONS

The most popular event of the Turkey Cultural Road Festival, the concerts, continued without slowing down on the third day. Resul Dindar, who took the stage at Anadolu Hamidiye Tabyası, singing the Çanakkale Türkü (folk song) with the audience in unison, created emotional moments. Meanwhile, the Troya Bards, who performed in the garden of Nedime Hanım Mansion, provided enjoyable minutes for the listeners, while Bekir Ünlüataer performed Zeki Müren songs at ÇOMÜ İçdaş Kara Yusuf Congress Center. At Kilitbahir Castle, kanun artist Ahmet Baran took the stage.
