According to WHO data, there has been a 38% increase in cases compared to the previous 28-day period.

The report noted a 50% decrease in the death rate, but it pointed out that the cases may not accurately reflect infection rates globally due to a decrease in testing and reporting.

According to the WHO’s epidemiological update report, there have been over 770 million COVID-19 cases and 6,956,000 deaths worldwide as a result of the pandemic.
